80^th Birthday Party Cruise – Carl Erickson.   Ellie Erickson threw an 80^th Birthday Party Cruise for her husband Carl Erickson.  What a huge success this was.  We expect this was a memorable day for the entire family.  We sure had fun serving you too.

50^th Birthday Party Cruise – Theresa Meyers.   Husband Doug threw this Birthday Party Cruise and really what a great party this was – you are sure lucky Theresa, your husband is great and we hope your party will be remembered for a long time!

50^th Birthday Party Cruise – Svetlana Lerner.   Step daughter Helen threw this Birthday Party Cruise; these Russians sure stick together and they know how to have a good time!!   Stock up on the Vodka for them….they sure like it and they handle it very well!   We hope you got a lot of pictures, what a great party!!

50^th Birthday Party Cruise – Dan Bakovich.  Wife Teri threw this Birthday Party Cruise with their many Croatian friends and family.  They even have some talented family members who are part an informal band.  They arrived on board and played great music.  A well planned party that was great fun even for the crew!!   Great job Teri!!

30^th Birthday Party Cruise – Christine Obrachta.  Ashley Knuckey threw a 30^th Birthday Party Cruise for her friend Christine Obrachta.  What a special friend you have there Christine!  We had fun serving you!

30^th Birthday Party Cruise – Dan O’Connor.  Dan sure knows how to toss a party.  You sure have a lot of friends!   Thanks to the many who attended – Happy Birthday Dan!!

Birthday Party Cruise – Jennifer Perkins.   Brother – Jeff Perkins threw a Birthday Party Cruise for his sister Jennifer.   I imagine you’ve been a great sister to Jeff!   Job well done Jeff.  We are sure Jennifer has memories of a lifetime of this party!!

Sweet 16 Birthday Party Cruise – Rachel Zampa.   Mom – Chris Zampa threw a Sweet 16 Birthday Party Cruise for her daughter Rachel.  Rachel and her friends had a wonderful time on board and they danced a lot!   You will never be 16 again so enjoy life while you are young.  What a memorable party!

Sweet 16 Birthday Party Cruise – Adriana Bates.   Mom – Chris Bates threw a Sweet 16 Birthday Party Cruise for her daughter Adriana.  Mom worked hard detailing out this party and we were so glad to see it was such a success.  Happy Birthday Adriana!

We would like to extend our personal “congratulations” again to our couples who got married this year.  Britta Crowley and Andrew Comings  – Diana Olivar and Cory Shirk – Dave and Eva Piche’ – Kimberly William and Anthony Johnson – Tara Kryck and Dan Pagni – all of these couples tied the knot this year making their relationships official.   We wish you the best of luck in your married life together and thank you for your business.  Lastly, we hope to have provided you with a day that will be raved about for many years to come.

More on our 2010 special events in our next writing.  There was a lot of fun going on in 2010 aboard the Luxury Yacht – Valara VI !!

We hope that all of you enjoyed your Winter and all of the Holidays that have now past.   To us, it seems that those Holidays just come so fast after each Season.  We just get our boats into their Winter storage spots and there we are, planning the Thanksgiving Dinner and wrapping presents with fancy wrapping paper and glittering bows for our loved ones. 

Short story for the dog lovers:  We don’t mind winter ourselves; we love to snow ski and our dog, “Chrissy” loves the snow very much too.   She is a Chow Chow dog, with lots of fur.   She loves to dig holes in the back yard snow and just sit right there in the hole.   She sits there and smiles, and really, she does smile.   We find that most pleasures in life are really very simple pleasures; watching our Chrissy dig those holes in the snow, and look at us with her smiling face is very pleasurable to us, we get a big kick out of that.  Obviously we love our dog!!   And so do our customers by the way.  During the Summers, when running our Chicago Skyline Cruises, many of our customers do get to meet Chrissy simply because; in the Summer Chrissy lives with us on the boat we have docked right next door to Valara VI.  She sits on top of our other boat, called the Blue Heaven and she smiles at our customers boarding our Charter yacht Valara VI all the time.  She is a very happy & friendly dog; she loves receiving the greetings and pets from our customers.   We’ve owned Chrissy all of her life, she is 7 years old, she was born on Christmas Day 2002.   Her formal name is “Christmas” but we call her Chrissy for short.   The other dog we have, we won’t talk much about her but in short, “Gypsy” – properly named, a German Hunt Terrier dog was found in the boat yard a couple of years ago; she had obviously been homeless and fending for herself for a very long time.   We think she endured a lot of abuse in her life, by someone.   She was quite aggressive and growled showing her teeth a lot when we first brought her home.  I can tell you this; no one else would have wanted this dog.  Over the couple of years we have owned Gypsy, she has calmed down quite a bit but for some reason, when around strangers, she still does not trust strangers very well as of yet.   She barks at strangers a lot.  This is very annoying when trying to walk her because we have to try and stear clear of strangers, but we deal with it.  Gypsy has never bit anyone but she sure knows how to make people think that she will.  Things take time with abused animals, we are working on her and each year she does get better.   So – we just call her our little guard dog.
